Under his dynamic leadership, he has successfully created an empire of his own and created employment for 500 people in UK and India, and still has the desired passion and zeal for continuous improvements. Now he has launched upon a new venture “Channel Punjab”. It is his intention to correct the image of Punjabi people worldwide and to unite the Punjabis of the world through entertainment. This vision is also shared by many Punjabis so therefore with the grace of God, he has put a team together to fulfill his dream. With his determination and guidance. CEO of the Derewals Group of UK & India, S. Jasbir Singh Derewal, born in UK but not forget his land of his ancestors, is working hard in India to establish Derewals here and to bring employment to Punjab. Under the supervision of S. Ranjit Singh Derewal, and with the blessings of Almighty – Waheguru, he intends to make Derewals a household name and a market leader. With his vast knowledge, experience and skills gained in the UK, he has accepted the challenge to make CHANNEL PUNJAB the No. 1 Punjabi Channel of the world. Channel Punjab is a new Challenge but one that he enjoys and is keen to deliver his father vision to the Punjabis of the world.

He is an expert in all the technical aspects of a TV Channel and this journey in Television Channel Industry started a decade back. Being the Senior Online Editor for Sony TV’s “Fame Gurukul” to Technical Consultant for Aston Villa’s (the famous football club in the UK) for their reality programme called “Villa Wannabe”, he was also involved in the relaunch of Vectone TV in London. Besides this, his technical abilities made him Technical Head at MH-1, Chief Editor at SS Music, Chief Editor at Superbhatha TV too. He has successfully edited thousands of teleserials, hundreds of documentary films as a freelancer in all four southern Indian languages since 1990 to 1998. Now working for the Channel Punjab. He wants to supersede the expectations of the Chairman.

Rajeev Sharma, 36 brings to the table a rich, diverse experience covering more than 14 years and in-depth understanding of the visual media. He has been associated with India’s leading national channels as Group Head, Programming (Zee Telefilms) and Programme Executive (Sahara India TV Network). In his previous stints, his responsibilities spanned creative supervision, programme management and execution, direction and writing of short films, direction of music videos among others. He worked as Program Director for Famous Program Surabhi, a cultural magazine (Produced by Cinema vision India for Doordarshan). He was also a Creative Consultant for Rapi Films, Jakarta (Indonesia) and Creative Director Post production with Cinevistaas – a leading production house. He is an avid propagator of the Punjabi culture and envisions taking its versatility to the Punjabi diasporas all over the world.
